Empowering the African mind through sports

 Youth Day Sports Day

Our job as the community is to make sure that our youth is given all the tools and skills necessary to maneuver through this world.

There are plenty of ways to do this, one of which is sports. We encourage teachers and parents to pay attention to how important sports are to a young person's day-to-day life.

This Youth Day, we hosted a Netball Tournament in Bophelong, Vanderbijlpark. It was not only about throwing the ball around but also about sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
Young people who participate in sports have proven to be more self-aware, confident, and have mental alertness; therefore performing well in school.

Staying active while learning some of the most important skills to help you grow is how sports contribute to taking our kids off the streets.

Participants received some backpacks, snacks, and school supplies from one of our donors Kaefer Thermal Contracting Services (Pty) Ltd and we are eternally grateful for their continued support.
