Back to School Drive
The true essence of our organization is to bridge the gap between young people and (seemingly) impossible opportunities.
On the 1st of May 2023, our initiative Back to School, Menstrual and Hygiene Awareness Campaign was part of the solution to the poverty problem. Lekoa Shandu Secondary School in Sharpeville allowed us to engage with learners and gift some of them with school essentials that will help them in their learning. Amongst these were school shoes, sanitary pads, and school supplies that many could not afford. Empower An African Child strongly believes in building a community that can, not only sustain itself but enrich the lives of those residing in it.
Sadly, not much is being done to ensure the well-being of our young people. Not many people prioritize the need to help them realize their potential and arm them with the necessary tools to help them succeed.
The future of this country (essentially, the world) is in the hands of young people. Serving them and helping them grow is the first step to making them realize their power. Young people take cues from those who came before them. Let us be the examples they need to form their own paths.
